Coach Chase Kyriacou has been training Hampton Roads athletes for the last 12 years of all sports. He has a passion for helping youth athletes develop the tools they need to be successful on the court and field. He was a Health & Physical Education teacher and Strength and Conditioning Coach at Salem High School from 2015 to 2022 where he taught Weight Training classes and oversaw programming for the baseball team, football team, and girls/boys basketball teams. Chase specializes in training large groups and developing training programs that target speed, power, strength, and conditioning within these large groups. He has worked with many athletes that moved on to play at the collegiate and professional levels in their selective sports. Chase received a degree in Exercise Science from Norfolk State University and his Master’s in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from Emporia State University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), Driveline Foundations of Pitching Certified, Precision Nutrition Certified Nutrition Coach, and is a competitive Olympic weightlifter for East Coast Gold Weightlifting.
He is a former baseball player at Cox High School from 2007-2010, where he was a 3 year Varsity starter. He was a part of 2 Beach District Championships in 2007 and 2009, 3 Regional appearances in 2007, 2009, and 2010, Regional Championship in 2009, and a State Semi Finalist in 2009. He was 1st team All Beach District as a junior in the 2009 season when he batter .430, and was 2nd team All beach District as a senior in 2010 where he hit .392. He continued his baseball career at Norfolk State University from 2010-2014. There he pitched and played outfield, third base and second base. He was apart of teams that made it to the Conference Championship in 2011 and 2014, 2 year captain, part of the Student-Athlete Athletics Advisory Committee, and was a 4-time All MEAC Academic Team award recipient.
